Come Out & Play 5K Benefiting Camp Sweeney

The Come Out & Play 5K Benefiting Camp Sweeney is Come Out & Play Foundation’s inaugural event. Come out on Memorial Day to support Camp Sweeney by racing through the Lake Highlands area of Dallas. The 5K will start and finish at the developing Lake Highlands Town Center located at Walnut Hill Lane and Skillman Street in Dallas. The course will take runners from the south side of the Town Center to the north side via the Watercrest Park Trail before heading into the neighborhood. Participants will conquer the rolling hills of White Rock Trail, run past Lake Highlands High School and venture through Lake Highlands North/Skyline Park before retracing their steps to return to the Town Center Finish Line. Proceeds from the race will benefit Camp Sweney – one of the largest and most effective diabetes educational facilities in the world, offering the only 3-week residential diabetic life skills training program in the United States.

The Lake Highland Property Improvement District will be holding an arts festival in conjunction with the race. Lots of local artists will be displaying their crafts, and there will be games and food trucks for your enjoyment. It all combines for a perfect Memorial Day morning!
